Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: In large pockets of soil accumulation on sides of large boulder-like outcrop of Waterloo Quartzite. Growing right near Panicum leibergii, the latter in denser clumps on the outcrop itself 2 m above and in essentially full sun. In dense scattered clumps, these 1.5 ft. in diam.; spikelets (3.8) 4.0-4.3 mm long but infl. unusually narrow.
