Habitat: On edges of trails, banks of rivulets, and in wet hollows throughout the area. Northern mesic forest (Acer saccharum dominant, with A. spicatum, Tilia americana, Ostyra virginiana, Ulmus americana) along hiking trail. Habitat information for Cochrane & Cochrane 11563-11566: Wet spot (seepy opening) in rich deciduous forest Carex gynandra var. gynandra dominant, with C. projecta, C. scabrata, Glyceria striata, Impatiens biflora, Scutellaria lateriflora, Viola sp., little else. Frequent.
