Habitat:
On moss cushion in grazed red oak-sugar maple woods at base of NE-facing sandstone slope; ground open. Assoc.: Adiantum pedatum, Pilea, Amphicarpa bracteata, Mitella diphyllum, and Galium concinnum. Very local; one plant. Panicle branches very droopy; anthers 0.7-1 mm long; ligules 1.9-3.7 mm long.
