Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: On moss over cold talus of algific slope. Algific slope: an area with a conspicuously open understory dominated by Cystopteris bulbifera and Carex media, ca. 8 by 25 m in size, perched widthwise on a wooded hillside; soil is 2 to 8 inches of rich humus over loose limestone talus that is refrigerated by cold (40 degrees F) air emanating from subterranean channels in the hillside. Surrounding woods dominated by Tilia americana, Acer saccharum, Quercus (Q. velutina?), Fraxinus (F. nigra?), and Betula papyrifera; largest trees to ca. 12 inches DBH. Only a few individuals seen.
