Habitat:
Found a small isthmus between sedge meadow to the N and leather-leaf bog to the S. Oak forest. Growing in mostly shade and dry soil. Associates include: Quercus macrocarpa, Quercus alba, Geranium maculatum, Hepatica americana, Populus tremuloides, Aquilegia canadensis, Carya ovata, Desmodium glutinosum, Carex penslyvanica, Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Plant 4 feet tall.
