Habitat: Low moist 2nd-growth cut-over Thuja-Fraxinus-Larix woods surrounding calcareous bog lake, with Coptis groenlandica, Mitella nuda, Saxifraga pensylvanica, Rhus vernix, & Salix candida.. [As I remember this, more/less semishade wet, near path! H.I., 1972.]
