Habitat: Old corn field (one year fallow) on sandy loam soil, formerly dry or dry-mesic prairie on high terrace of river valley. Associates include Cycloloma atriplicifolia, Froelichia floridana, Mollugo verticillata, Euphorbia corollata, Oenothera rosettes, and many grasses. Additional field notes: associates include Digitaria sanguinalis, Cenchrus longispinus, & Cyperus schweinitzii.
