Unshaded top of pinnacle. Top of very narrow ridge (alt. ca. 1000 ft) with a series of calcareous capped sandstone castles and pinnacles. Surrounding woods young, grazed, with Acer saccharum on E facing slope and Juglans cinerea, Celtis occidentalis on W facing slope. Scattered large Pinus strobus, and some Tsuga canadensis on the cooler NE facing slope.
