Habitat:
Steep SW facing grassy bank below stone wall and base of river bluff with thin woods of Tilia americana, Gleditsia triacanthos, Quercus rubra, the bank with mostly weedy plants such as Physalis heterophylla, Kuhnia eupatorioides, Gnaphalium obtusifolium, Asparagus officinalis, Leptoloma cognatum and no. 22051 Tridens flavus (L.) Hitchc. (This species abundant, the dominant grass, common on both sides of hwy on lower side of road common but mostly mowed off. This is the same colony collected Oct 14, 1972 as Nee 5402).
