Habitat: Southern lowland (floodplain) forest along permanently flowing branch. Pioneer forest (Salix Xrubens dominant, Acer negondo subdominant, with Ulmus americana, Fraxinus pennsylvanica var subintegerrima and along upper edge Tilia americana and Juglans nigra) . Groundlayer species on banktop assoicated with Cochrane 11866: Amphicarpaea bracteata, Geum canadense (common), Parthenocissus inserta, Rubus occidentalis, Hackelia virginiana, Galium triflorum, Phryma leptostachya, and Eupatorium rugosum.
