Habitat:
Extensive lowland prairie on huge outwash sand terrace along river. Dry mesic segments dominated by Andropogon scoparius, Sporobolus heterolepis, and Koeleria macrantha (on low swells) grading to wet segments dominated by Andropogon gerardii, Panicum virgatum, and Spartina pectinata (in shallow swales). Additional field notes for Cochrane 8340: Assoc. with Eragrostis frankii and Panicum capillare along edge of vehicle lane running across prairie.
