Old corn field (2-3 years fallow) on sandy loam soil, formerly dry or dry mesic prairie on high terrace of river valley. Assoc. incl. Cycloloma atriplicifolia, Froelichia floridana, Mollugo verticillata, Euphorbia corollata, Oenethera rosettes, and many grasses. Assoc. incl. Cenchrus longispinus, Setaria viridis, and Cyperus schweinitzii.
