Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Large virgin wet-mesic prairie (25 acres), quite flat with seasonally flooded shallow depressions, surrounded by ag lands on all sides. Soil: dark colored loam with sandy clayey loam subsoil and a large amount of organic matter. Assoc.: Sphenopholis intermedia, Koelaria macrantha, Lysimachia quadriflora, Geum aleppicum var. strictum, Rosa arkansas var suffulta (abundant), Zizia aptera, Z. aurea, Pycanthemum virginianum, Asclepias sullivantii, Galium boreale ssp. septentrionalis, Rudbeckia hirta var. pulcherrima, Silphium lacinatum, S. terebinthinaceum. Anthers 1.7 mm long. Habitat unusual, but seen on other lowland prairies in the area.
