Extensive (20-acre), diverse, sedge-grass meadow (calcareous fen) developed on a combination of peat and marl. Hummocky, somewhat drier and shrubby upper edge, with Andropogon gerardii, Doellingeria umbellata, Eutrochium maculatum, Parnassia glauca, Oxypolis rigidior, Pentaphylloides floribunda, Physocarpus opulifolius, Solidago canadensis, Solidago uliginosa, Symphyiotrichum boreale, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens, Toxicodendron vernix, etc.
