Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Waushara, Wautoma. Bass Lake Fen SNA, all along (running for at least 1200 ft.) NE shore of Bass Lake, E of Wis. Hwy. 22, S of CTH YY, 5 mi. due S of Wautoma. Halfway between entrance at S end of access lane and ditched outlet stream.

Habitat: Extensive (20-acre), diverse, sedge-grass meadow (calcareous fen) developed on a combination of peat and marl. Slightly drier, somewhat shrubby area, with Pentaphylloides floribunda, Physocarpus opulifolius, Rhamnus alnifolia, Toxicodendron vernix, also Bromus ciliatus, Campanula aparinoides var. grandiflora, Doellingeria umbellata, Eutrochium maculatum, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Solidago uliginosa, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens, etc. Locally common (120 plants) in one smallish area.
