Assoc.: Plantago rugelii, Ambrosia artemisiifolia. Dry sandy Quercus velutina woods on ridge of glacio-fluvial hills constituting part of Cary terminal moraine; soil a loamy sand of Oshtemo-Gotham association; shallow lakes within (Bright L.) and at very base (MudL., Polly's L.) of moraine. Rhizomatous. Occasional.
