Habitat: Excellent bluff prairie along hwy. Prairie on lower bluff slopes, with few weeds, some rare plants, such as Psoralea esculenta, Artemisia frigida, A. dracunculoides, Muhlenbergia cuspidata, Eupatorium altissimum. Additional species noted in association with Hansen, et al. 4014. Excellent, large calcareous bluff prairie below massive limestone cliffs. With Artemisia frigida, A. ludoviciniana, A. dracunculoides, A. caudata, Solidago nemoralis, S. rigida, S. speciosa, Equisetum hyemale, Gnaphalium obtusifolium, Euphorbia corollata, Andropogon scoparius, A. gerardii, Liatris aspera, L. cylindracea, Linum sulcatum, Helianthus rigidus, Muhlenbergia cuspidata, Asclepias verticillata, Bouteloua curtipendula, Petalostemum purpureum, Psoralea esculenta, Aster folius, Amorpha canescens, Sorghastrum nutans, Kuhnia eupatorioides. Also with encroaching Rhus glabra, Juglans cinerea, Physocarpus opuifolius, Prunus virginiana, Celastrus scandens, Populus tremuloides around edges.
