Habitat:
Large sand pit of outwash sand from the river. With Cycloma atriplicifolium, Gnaphalium obtusifolium, Salsola kali, Xanthium strumarium, Polanisia dodecandra, Physalis heterophylla, Cenchrus, Hedeoma hispida, Froelichia floridana, many other weeds; and in less disturbed areas, some dry prairie plants such as Andropogon gerardii, Hieracium longipilum, Solidago nemoralis, Lespedeza capitata.
