Georeference Remarks:
Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat:
On top of St. Peter sandstone cliffs, relic with Pinus strobus, P. resinosa. There is a grove of P. banksiana on the S facing slope at the base of the cliff where this collected. It is an even aged stand of slender , straight trees up to 30 ft. tall and now breaking up, growing with Robinia pseudoacacia, both of which were probably planted, but I did not detect any immediatly obvious rows. I saw no mature, undoubtedly native P. banksiana here, but it was definately spreading with young trees of all ages growing on the cliffs.
