Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Winnebago, Winneconne Twp.; On an isolated limestone outcrop, within the highway right-of-way on the W side of US 45, 0.1 mile S of its jct. with Breezewood Lane (to the E) and Woodland Rd. (to the W)
Verbatim Coordinates: T19N R15E sec02 NE4;
Habitat: On limstone outcrop. Associates included Silphium laciniatum and terebinthinaceaum, Geum trifoloroum, Ruellia humilis, Solidago rigida, Isanthus brachiatus, Liatris apera, and Dalea purpurea. The limestone is perched above the ditch, such that moving machines and snowplows cannot reach it.
Occurrence Remarks: In two large clumps, with about 30 stems in all, 3-4' tall, stems glaucous; rays yellow, disck corollas dark brown. This is the population reported by Patrick Robinson, 10 September 2004, voucher at UW Green Bay.
