Habitat: Spring-fed, peat filled natural drainage basin containing a small lake & ca. 50 acres of marsh & fen. Alkaline southern sedge meadow from seeps and spring at base of a glacial ridge, dominated by Carex stricta, with C. sterilis, C. prairea, C. tetanica, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Sphenopholis intermedia, Lathyrus palustris var. myrtifolius, Chelone glabra, Lycopus americanus, grading into wet fen.
