Habitat: Landlocked basin in the ground moraine; water clear, fairly fertile; surface acres: 167; max. depth: 36 ft. Scirpus americanus (dominant) zone on upper margin of wide sandy beach, more/less open habitat on pure sand; assoc.: Cyperus strigosus, Carex viridula, Juncus alpinus, J. pelocarpus, Iris versicolor, Hypericum majus, Lycopus uniflorus, Bidens cernua, and Eupatorium perfoliatum.
