Habitat: Xeric sand prairie along railroad right-of-way on high terrace of river valley. Andropogon scoparius dominant, with abundant A. gerardii, and Sorghastrum nutans, also Sporobolus cryptandrus, Salsola kali, Monarda punctata, Ambrosia psilostachya, Aster linariifolius, A. ericoides, Helianthus occidentalis, Solidago nemoralis, Gnaphalium obtusifolium, etc.
