Habitat:
Stream 5 to 25 ft. wide, 1-3.5 ft. deep, water brown but clear, bottom sand and silt or large boulders, mostly meandering in meadows. Aquatic plants locally abundant; Potamogeton alpinus, P. richardsonii, P. illinoensis (?), Sagittaria cuneata, Sparganium chlorocarpum, Callitriche verna. Local.
