Habitat:
Depth less than 2 ft. and semi-impounded above rapids, water brownish, bottom sand with bedrock and large granite boulders. Little aquatic vegetation: Elodea and Sparganium in channel, Equisetum fluviatile and Scirpus validus in quiet water.
