Habitat: Slow-moving stream with sand to soft silt bottom, 10 to 100 ft. wide, 1 to 3 ft. deep, densely vegetated with Elodea, Potamogeton amplifolius, P. friesii, P. pectinatus, P. obtusifolius, Ceratophyllum demersum, Nuphar variegatum, Nymphaea tuberosa.
