Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Florence, Along Haley Creek. Part of large wetland complex, it forms headwaters for Riley Creek. Owned by Wis Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (State Trust Lands).

Habitat: Semi-open tamarck/black spruce swamp along creek. Other associates included Betula pumila, Iris versicolor, Potentilla palustris, Carex lasiocarpa and other sedges. C. tenuiflora was mainly found between sphagnum hummocks where conditions were somewhat wetter. The area is part of a large forested wetland complex, by turns dominated by cedar, tamarack, or tamarack/black spruce, often with alder and/or balsam fir. It forms the headwaters. No estimate of population size. The species appeared to be fairly common at this location but was for rare plants.
