Habitat:
Growing along a small creeklet as it winds through mucky peat at the edge of a small white cedar swamp. It is in a small opening under a canopy of black ash, yellow birch, red maple, all at about 10-15 cm dbh. Poa is rooted in black peat and it overhangs the creeklet. Groundlayer plants are fairly sparse: Carex bromoides, Impatiens capensis, Equisetum arvense, Chrysosplenium americanum, Laportea. Less than 25 plants seen, all located within about 4 by 20 meter area.
