Habitat:
Growing at the edge of a mixed black ash-yellow birch-red maple swamp. Here, the swamp is broad with stagnant water near the margin. Farther out in the swamp, along a small flowing streamlet, Poa occurs on mossy logs and mossy hummocks of Carex bromoides. With Impatiens capensis, Laportea canadensis, Onoclea sensibilis and Hydrocotyle americana. Occasional; about 100 plants scattered over a 20 by 80 meter area. This is same site as for collection No. 03057. Poa paludigena collection No. 03048 and 03049 are just to the north.
