Habitat:
Growing at the edge of a black ash swamp about 20m (or less) downstream from where a small creek is constricted and flows over rocks. Here, the flowage broadens out into a partly shady, swamp with mossy logs. Poa occur on mossy logs and on a few mossy hummocks over pools of water with a little flowage (not stagnant). With Impatiens capensis, Laportea canadensis, Onoclea sensibilis and a few clumps of Carex bromides. Hydrocotyle americana in the stream. Uncommon; in 8 to 10 clumps, total 30-50 culms. Same areas as collection No. 03049.
