Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Wet prairie, dominated by Calamagrostis canadensis (most abundant), Andropogon gerardii (somewhat less abundant), Spartina pectinata (least abundant of the big grasses), also Poa palustris, Elymus virginicus, Muhlenbergia mexicana. Never grazed nor plowed, but last year dried up in the drought & accidentally burned. Additional notes for 8267-8293, 8301: Carex tenera, Scirpus atrovirens, Populus tremuloides, Salix discolor, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Geum, Spiraea alba, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Veronicastrum virginicum, Echinocystis lobata, Campanula aparinoides ssp. grandiflora, Artemisia serata (NE-most natural station for the species), Aster simplex, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Helianthus giganteus, and Solidago giganteus. Perigynia 2.2-2.4 x 1.5-1.6 mm (but w/ bodies as broad as long or broader, 1.3-1.5 L x 1.5-1.6 W, & thu might key to C. festucacea if other characters aren't checked.
