Habitat:
Mostly ungrazed, wooded hillside of Potsdam sandstone, NW-facing, with stream on N-side. N-side of bluff, moist from runoff water, gradually drier toward south side. Woods thin out toward S-slope, where prairie plants are common. A marsh is at base.
