Habitat: Top edge of trampled slumping bank, with Poa pratensis, Carex vulpinodea, Eleocharis erythropoda, Lycopus americanus, Impatiens biflora, little else, in region of Catalpa woodland. Bottomland hardwood forest (very immature, the dominant tree the naturalized Catalpa speciosa), dried sloughs, and grassy marshes at the river's edge, the whole area now pasturland, along river.
