Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Fine stand of upland hardwoods on bumpy-hilly rolling glacial topography; Miami loam soil (10 in. gray-brown loam on top of fine clay loam). Acer saccharum - Fagus grandifolia with Tsuga canadensis, also Tilia americana, Ostrya virginiana, and Prunus serotina. Assoc. sedges include Carex convoluta, C. deweyana, C. laxiflora, and C. plantaginea. Additional data for Cochrane and Cochrane 6444: In more or less open ground right in the center of logging road with Thalictrum dioicum, Sanguinaria canadensis, Amphicarpa bracteata, Taraxacum officinale, Acer saccharum and Fraxinus pennsylvanica var. subintegerrima seedlings, little else in immediate vicinity in road. Anths. 0.8-0.9mm long.
