Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Old field, Poa pratensis dominant, with Asclepias syriaca, Physalis heterophylla, Rosa sp., and Quercus velutina seedlings, little else immediately associated with the sedge. The field borders an area of barrens-like habitat consisting of a patchwork of Quercus velutina woodland (with Q. macrocarpa, Q. alba, Juniperus virginiana) and prairie openings whose groundlayer contains a mixture of old field (Poa pratensis-dominant, Rumex acetosella, Potentilla simplex, Acillea millefolium), dry prairie (Panicum leibergii, Arabis lyrata, Amorpha canescens, Lithospermum caroliniense), and oak barrens (Lespedeza capitata, Helianthemum canadense) species on sandy soil.
