Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Iowa, Rewey. Mittelstadt property, at fire no. 831 on Cook-McFall Rd., 0.75 mi. N of CTH A, between (2 mi. due E of) Rewey and (9 mi. W of) Mineral Point.

Habitat: Wooded, N-facing slope above a little creek-bottom wetland, an oak forest 40 years ago, logged by previous owner in 1988 and selectively cut again 3 years ago, now semi-open, dominated by young Acer saccharum trees, with some Fraxinus pennsylvanica and Tilia americana and a few Quercus rubra. Assoc.: Carex blanda, C. hirtifolia, Geranium maculatum, Geum canadense, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Solidago ulmifolia, Rubus spp., Thalictrum dioicum. Seven plants in a little patch 5 ft X 1 1/2 ft. This species has appeared at 3 different spots on the property when a habitat has been opened up, only to disappear when it closes in again. Sheet 2 of 2.
