Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Walworth, Lulu Lake Natural Area. Found about 100 to 150 m N of the Mukwonago River, and about 100m W of an abandoned railroad bed/trail. About 0.25 mi W of Lulu Lake.

Habitat: Calcareous sedge meadow. Growing in damp, peaty soil in full sun, within 10 m of the upland oak savanna. Associates include: Caltha palustris, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Cardamine bulbosa, Cirisium muticum, Potentilla fruticosa, Carex lanuginosa, Thelypteris palustris, Carex stricta, and Smilicina stellata.
