Habitat: Wet-mesic prairie, a little overgrown by Phalaris arundinacea, in a moist shallow roadside ditch. Assoc.: Equisetum arvense, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Veronicastrum virginicum, Helianthus grosseserratus, Silphium terebinthinaceum, Parthenocissus sp., Cornus sp. seedlings. Rare.
