Habitat: Wet calcareous shallow peat; narrow zone of sedge meadow along roadside edge of extensive alder-willow-dogwood carr, bottomland of creek. Additional filed notes for Cochrane 6490; A): Moist sandy loam of roadbank with Equisetum arvense, Bromus inermis, Salix rigida, Phleum pratense, Medicago sativa, Asclepias syriaca. Coarse; lvs. dark bluish green; flring stems rare. 0.5 height of abundant pseudoculms.
