Habitat:
Sedge meadow, wet mesic: 95% Carex sp. with borders of Salix sp., Osmunda claytoniana (common), Onoclea sensibilis, Pteridium aquilinum, Urtica dioica, Spirea tomentosa. This plant at rise of road shoulder, drier than rest of site. Pond, 2dm maximum depth, cresent shaped 10 x 20m, adjacent to sedge meadow, containing flowering Carex tussocks, on borders colonies of Alnus rugosa, Typha latifolia, Cornus racemosa. Caespitose growth, fresh color yellow green.
