Habitat: With Festuca obtusa in crevice on vertical face. Extensive norethern mesic forest atop a central ridge. Low NW-facing moss-covered cliff of gabbro or diabase with Polystichum braunii purshii, Dryopteris spinulosa, Polygonatum pubescens, and Solidago flexicaulis.
