Habitat:
In wet muddy sand accumulated on tree roots at water's edge with Cyperus strigosus, Agrostis perennans, Pilea pumila, Cardamine pensylvanica. Soft sandstone and flat plain of Boone fine sand along river channel. Scales 1.4 mm long; achenes 0.8 mm.
