Habitat: Very thin peaty humus atop moist sand, sloping base of flowage dike; very open and sunny, with no particular plant dominant and no tussock-forming Carices. Wet drying depression at base of slope. Additional field notes for Cochrane & Cochrane 6692: Sagittaria sp., Alisma plantago-aquatica var. parviflora, Eleocharis smallii, Sparganium androcladum, Hypericum boreale, Bidens sp. Cespitose but rhizomatous & stoloniferous, forming carpets. [Anth. 0.8 mm long.]
