Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Northern wet-mesic forest; hummocky swampy ground, local area of spring seepage. Thuja occidentalis dominant, with Betula papyrifera, Tsuga canadensis, & Fraxinus nigra; also Cypripedium calceolus ssp. parviflorum, Carex pedunculata, & C. eburnea. Assoc.: Maianthemum canadense, Actaea pachypoda, Viola conspersa, Aralia nudicaulis, and Aster macrophyllus, little else. Abundant; collected plants from a clone 8.5 ft. across atop tiny hillock. Culms low; leaves mostly basal, dark green.
