Habitat: In partial sun growing on a raised peat and sphagnum mound, in a fen. Associates include Lycopus americus, Campanula aparinoides, Carex stricta, Galium triflorum, Eupatorium masculatum, Scutellaria galericulata, Pedicularis lanceolata, Eupatorium perfolium, Rumex orbiculatus, Impatiens capensis, Carex hystericina, Juncus nodosus, Scirpus atrovirens, and Cornus stolonifera.
