Habitat:
In the small grassy marsh (Phalaris arundinacea dominant) at water's edge on small island 600 ft. S of bridge. Bottomland hardwood forest (very immatures, the dominant tree the naturalized Catalpa speciosa), dried sloughs, and grassy marshes at the river's edge, the whole area now pastureland. Associated species for Cochrane & Cochrane 11546, 11547: Eleocharis erythropoda, Polygonum seedlings, Impatiens capensis, Acer saccharinum seedlings, Asclepias incarnata, Eupatorium maculatum, and Solidago gigantea, little else. Abundant.
