Habitat:
Mucky floating peat, edge zone of rapidly flowing, spring-fed creek between deep water and bottomland sedge meadow (latter very wet). Additional field notes ofr Cochrane & Cochrane 7058: Assoc.: Sparganium, chlorocarpum, Elodea canadensis, Zannichellia palustris, Cyperus rivularis, Polygonum lapathifolium, Ranunculus trichophyllus, Lycopus americanus, Mimulus glabratus var, fremontii, and Bidens cernua. Locally abundant. Culms in clumps, reclining, but together the plants forming a carpet.
