Habitat:
In wetter portions (slough shore) of open wet marsh dominated by Carex and Scirpus pedicullatus. Additional information for Cochrane & Cochrane 5312: Assoc.: Azolla mexicana, Alsima subcordatum, Sagittaria, Sparganium eurycarpum, Typha latifolia, and Sium suave. Also with Glyceria grandis, Polygonum coccineum, Ludwigia polycarpa, Epilobium glandulosum, Scutellaria galericulata, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, and Galium tinctorium. Very common. Large dense clumps or small hummocks with soft culms, many of these trailing in 7-inch-deep water amongst Carex hummocks.
