Habitat: Very thin peaty humus atop moist sand, sloping base of flowage dike; very open and sunny, with no particular plant dominant and no tussock-forming Carices. Wet drying depression at base of slope. Additional field notes for Cochrane & Cochrane 6693: Assoc.: Alisma plantago-aquatica var. parviflorum, Eleocharis acicularis, Sparganium androcladum, Sagittaria sp., Bidens sp., Hypericum boreale. Very abundant, forming distinct zone at pool's edge and up onto adjacent gentle slope, all the way around. Sheet 1 of 2.
