Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Growing in a dense, pure colony, except for 2 Potamogeton spp. (Alverson 1509, 1510) and Scirpus validus, in about 50 cm of water on a clean sand bottom in sheltered area. Styles white, staminal parts pale yellow; ca 50% of culms with flowers. Culms stiffly erect, unlike the nearby Scirpus. Colony density ca 30 culms/m2; colony size ca. 15 m in diameter. Extends to 20 cm above the present water level, which is this year about 20 cm higher than normal. Potederia cordata grows nearby in shallower water.
